THE OLD SCHOOL
WHERE WE LEARNED THE GOLDEN RULE
“Old School was a single by American country music artist John Conlee. Released in 1985, it was the first new single from his Greatest Hits 2 album.
While the lyrics don’t lend themselves entirely to the spirit of Bladenboro Historical Society’s intent, we do want to hear what you have to say about your days at The Old School.
The Old School is where we came and learned the “Golden Rule”. The Old School is where I met you and we lived and learned of life together-and we never broke the Golden Rule, at The Old School.
Quite literally, we could write our own version of the hit song just by sharing what we remember of The Old School.
The Mighty Bladenboro Bulldog
We aren’t sure when the bulldog was adopted as a mascot, but each of us identified with the prioress of the Bladenboro Bulldog. We went to school in “Bulldog Country!”
